Grade 310 is an austenitic stainless steel, which offers exceptional high temperature properties, along with good ductility and weldability. Higher alloyed 310 pipes have excellent strength at elevated temperatures. Along with this, these stainless steel grade pipes offer outstanding resistance to creep deformation and environmental contaminants. 310 Stainless Steel Square Tubing is a type of tubing from the 310 austenitic stainless steel products. The 310 material is a chromium nickel alloy that has excellent oxidation resistance. The pipes could either be welded or seamless. There can also be different shapes of the pipes such as the rectangular, square and the usual round shapes. The material is recommended for use in ASME pressure vessels in working service above 520°C due to the grade’s heat resistant properties.

SS 310 seamless pipe are forged in the temperature range between 975 to 1175°C. To relieve all stresses from the forging process annealing is recommended after forging. It can be readily cold formed by standard methods and equipment. Heavy rigid tools and powerful machines are used. Steel pipe is not only used to transport fluids and powdery solids, exchange heat, manufacture mechanical parts and containers, it is also an economic steel. The use of steel pipe manufacturing in building structure network frame, pillar and mechanical support, can reduce the weight, saving metal 30 ~ 40%, and can achieve factory mechanized construction.

310S stainless steel resists oxidation in continuous service at temperatures as much as 1150°C supplied reducing sulphur gases are not current. 310S can be used for intermittent service at temperatures up to 1040°C. SS 310 seamless pipe & tube is a medium carbon austenitic stainless-steel, for high temperature purposes similar to furnace elements and heat therapy tools.
